  Abstract
A Balanced Scorecard for a Firm in the Chilean Mining Sector
This study develops a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) for a large mining company of the North of Chile. For this, a strategic analysis of the Department was done, consistent with the overall strategic planning of the company. Then, there were created 13 indicators that measure the degree of fulfillment of the specific goals for the Department. The work ends with the implementation of the system in a computer program, whereby illustrative reports are obtained.
